Whispering
and Breaking

Bruce Anderson could
be called a "Horse Whisperer", but in reality he is a Horse Gentler.
He communicates and becomes a trusted friend of the horse. He has
studied techniques of John Lyons, Monty Roberts, and Buck
Brannaman. Bruce has collated their ideas with his knowledge to
develop his own gentling system. Born in Venezuela, he moved to
Trinidad and spent his childhood riding horses on his family's cocoa
plantation. He later represented his country on the Trinidad Equestrian
Team. Since then he has schooled, ridden, and trained in England
and the USA. Watching Bruce work and practice is fascinating.

Drew
Carrigan hails from New York and Pennsylvania
and has galloped for many top trainers, including riding for renowned
trainer Frank Whitely. Her afternoons are spent working with "babies".
Soft and quiet on the ground and on top of youngsters, she has a
"no matter how long it takes" attitude. Her love of all animals
is transferred to the Pear Tree colts and fillies. By the time time
Drew is finished, we feel all of the youngsters are as "bombproof"
as possible.
